Detailed Itinerary for 5 Days Taxi Package in Kashmir
Day 1 Srinagar Arrival
Day 2 Srinagar Sightseeing
The second day of the trip will be utilised for a thorough sightseeing of the capital city. Once you have gotten ready and had your breakfast, our drive will be waiting for you at your hotel’s doorstep. The sightseeing tour will start with a visit to Mughal Gardens. The intercity rides will be managed by your personal driver cum guide. He is fully equipped with the possible routes leading to these Mughal Gardens and even tells you about the insights and legends. The famous Mughal Gardens to be covered are Shalimar Bagh, Nishat Garden and Chashme Shahi. They were mostly built in the late 17th-century by some of the most skilled artists of that time. you can go on nature walks in the gardens, or by the waterfalls found here. Next, the driver will take you to Pari Mahal. The reflection of the Palace in the Dal Lake is mesmerising. April to October is the best time to visit Srinagar for sigtseeing. Later in the day, our last destination would be Shankaracharya Temple where you’ll go on a small hike where the driver cum guide will accompany you. Lastly, you’ll reach the hotel in the late evening.
Day 3 Gulmarg day tour
On day third, you will explore one of the most popular tourist places of India. The intercity drive will start early in the morning from Srinagar to Gulmarg. Gulmarg is about 50 kilometres from the capital city and generally takes about 2 hours. However, if you include enroute sightseeing then it may take longer. As we are about to reach Gulmarg, the first destination where the driver will take you is Drung Waterfall. Undoubtedly one of the most stunning ones in the valley, the waterfall is a visual treat especially in the winter. It froze completely forming icicles. The best time to visit Gulmarg is from December to February because of snowfall.
Before noon, you’ll reach Gulmarg town. Have your lunch at a local restaurant and get advertised for the rest of the rest. The sightseeing tour of Gulmarg town will start from the Gondola ride. At a distance of only 2-3 kilometres, you’ll reach the base of the first phase. It is one of the highest as well as longest cable cars in the world which spans as long as 5 kilometres and goes as high as 13,123 ft. It starts from the Gulmarg town itself and goes all the way up to Kongdoori in the first phase and Apharwat Peak in the second. The city tour will progress further taking you to St. Mary’s Church, Maharani Temple, Gulmarg Golf Course, Maharaja Palace, etc. These places require only an hour or two to explore completely. Some last attractions where you’ll visit via the Kashmir Taxi Service are Strawberry Valley and finally Gulmarg Market.
Day 4 Sonmarg day tour
On the second last day, you’ll explore the “Meadows of Golden Light”, or Sonmarg. About 130 kilometres separate Sonmarg and Gulmarg and the route is via Srinagar. It will take about 4-5 hours. The drive will start early in the morning. So that you are in Sonmarg before noon and have enough time to discover the adventures of the town. As you are on a beautiful road trip, stop in the Sindh Valley and explore the Sindh River entirely. One of the best places of Sonmarg is probably Thajiwas Glacier, where the driver will take you as soon as you reach the town. Enjoy the panoramic view of the city from the top and if you are there in winter, indulge in activities like skiing and snowboarding. A sanctuary is located nearby which you’ll explore after the Glacier. Lastly, you’ll be taken to Zero Point, one of the most thrilling local attractions of Sonmarg. Popularly called as “ Gateway to Ladakh”, it connects Kashmir valley to Leh Ladakh. Day 5 Departure
On the last day, the driver will start the drive back to Srinagar. Sonmarg is about 80 kilometres from the capital city and it will take about 3 hours. As you reach the main city, if you have time, you can explore the local markets. Buy souvenirs like carpets, Pashmina Shawls, Jewellery, Kashmiri architecture, etc. Once you are all done with the shopping spree, the airport transfer will be done by the driver via a taxi. At Least 2 hours before your flight, our representative will drop you off at the airport.
