Gulmarg to Sonamarg Distance & How to Reach

Gulmarg and Sonamarg are hill town stations located in the Northern state of Jammu & Kashmir, INDIA. Both towns are famous as tourist hotspots as well as for their mesmerizing views of the Himalayas.

Located at an elevation of more than 2650m from the sea both Gulmarg and Sonamarg are 121km distance apart by road & 93 km by air. One can reach these tourist places either through any of the modes namely: air or road or railways.

If you are traveling by any one of a mode of transport then you have to reach Srinagar first (capital of Jammu Kashmir). After which you can visit any of the two places.

The nearest airport to Gulmarg is Srinagar International Airport. Some agencies also provide helicopter facilities from Srinagar itself. I will prefer my readers to travel by air transport to get a wide view of the mystic place of a beautiful valley and savor more time of enjoyment. As it is only 93 km (from Gulmarg to Sonamarg) and takes an hour or more only to travel from Gulmarg to Sonamarg.
