Friendship peak trek is the most popular trekking peak in India. This peak trek is ideal for fit trekkers who want to experience the thrilling summit achievement in Indian Himalayas. Friendship peak standing tall at an altitude of 5289m, gives the best summit feel when climbing a mountain. This peak trek does not need a plethora of climbing experiences.
Friendship peak sits loftily between Pir Panjal and Dhuladhar ranges. You will see the towering peaks from here assuming to touch the sky. This is a challenging trek and seasoned trekkers. Situated in the Kullu area of Himachal Pradesh, Friendship peak gives a panoramic view of the entire Manali and the view of mountain ranges of Uttarakhand as well.
The peak has Hanuman Tibba and Indrasan, Deo Tibba, Priyadarshani, the seven sisters in its vicinity. This peak is dubbed and classified by IMF as a trekking peak. This classification makes it suitable and accessible to fit trekkers who do not need any qualifications or experience in climbing or mountaineering. However, one must have done high-altitude treks before doing this summit trek and the prerequisite is super fit stamina and endurance.
The basic know-how that you need for this trekking peak will be provided by Cliffhangers India’s technical team. To summit the trek, you will be acquainted and made to practice the skills like using an ice axe, roping up and forging the dicy terrain, walking on snow in high boots, etc. Friendship peak starts from a beautiful Solang valley which is situated a short drive from Manali. The altitude from which the trek starts is just 2000m. The trek has then an all ascent until it reaches the top of the peak hovering at 5289m.
