Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrive Chandigarh – Drive to Shimla (Approx. 120 km / 4 hrs)
* Arrive at Chandigarh Airport/Railway Station, meet our representative.
* Begin the scenic drive through pine forests and foothills of the Himalayas.
* Reach Shimla, the erstwhile summer capital of British India.
* After check-in and freshening up, head for leisure walking on The Mall Road:
Christ Church – second oldest church in North India
The Ridge – Shimla’s iconic open promenade
Scandal Point
Return to hotel.
Dinner & Overnight stay in Shimla.
Day 2: Shimla – Sangla – Chitkul (Approx. 240 km / 8–9 hrs)
*Post breakfast, depart for the enchanting Sangla Valley.
*Drive past Kufri and enter deep into the mountains. The landscapes begin changing dramatically.
*Cross Taranda Dhank, a famed cliff-side road carved directly into the mountain — gateway to Kinnaur.
*Continue to Chitkul, the Last Inhabited Village of India near the Indo-Tibetan border.
Walk along the Baspa River, surrounded by himalayan peaks.
Explore traditional wooden Kinnauri architecture and village life.
Return to Sangla and check into your stay.
Dinner & Overnight stay in Sangla.
Day 3:Sangla – Nako – Geu – Tabo (Approx. 190 km / 7–8 hrs)
*Breakfast and drive deeper into Kinnaur.
*At Khab, witness the spectacular confluence of the Sutlej and Spiti rivers.
*Continue to Nako Village, perched beside a serene high-altitude lake. Visit:
Nako Lake
Nako Monastery with ancient murals and prayer wheels.
*Next stop Geu Village to see the 600-year-old naturally preserved mummy of a Buddhist Monk.
*By evening arrive in Tabo, the “Ajanta of the Himalayas”.
*Check-in to your hotel/guesthouse.
Dinner & Overnight stay in Tabo.
Day 4: Tabo – Dhankar – Kaza (Approx. 60 km / 3–4 hrs)
*After breakfast, visit the Tabo Monastery, over a thousand years old, known for its priceless frescoes and scriptures.
*Continue to Dhankar Monastery, dramatically perched on a cliff overlooking the Spiti River.
Optional short hike to Dhankar Lake (for those who wish & weather permits).
*Drive onward to Kaza, the administrative capital of Spiti Valley.
*Evening at leisure to stroll the Kaza Market – cafés, shops & handicrafts.
Dinner & Overnight stay in Kaza.
Day 5: High Altitude Villages – Langza, Hikkim & Komic (Local Excursion ~ 5–6 hrs)
*Post breakfast, embark on a journey to Spiti’s iconic high-altitude villages:
Langza (14,500 ft): Famous for the giant Buddha statue, snow-capped Chau Chau Kang Nilda peak & marine fossils.
Hikkim: Visit the World’s Highest Post Office. Send postcards to your loved ones as souvenirs.
Komic (14,800 ft): Known as the highest motorable village in Asia; visit Tangyud Monastery.
*Return to Kaza by evening.

Day 6: Kaza – Chicham Bridge – Key Monastery – Kaza
*Breakfast, followed by a short drive to:
Chicham Bridge: One of the highest suspension bridges in Asia, offering dramatic canyon views.
Key (Kee) Monastery: The largest and most iconic monastery in Spiti, home to monks, scriptures & stunning architecture.
*Spend time observing monastic life, interacting with monks & enjoying tea in the monastery kitchen (if offered).
*Return to Kaza. Evening free for local food cafés.
Dinner & Overnight stay in Kaza.
Day 7: Kaza – Kalpa (Approx. 200 km / 7–8 hrs)
*Breakfast and drive back along the Spiti River to Kalpa, a beautiful village in Kinnaur.
* Explore:
Suicide Point (dramatic cliff viewpoint)
Kalpa Monastery & Laxmi Narayan Temple
Ancient Chini Village lanes
Witness the magical Kinnaur Kailash Range glowing during sunset.
Dinner & Overnight stay in Kalpa.
Day 8: Kalpa – Chandigarh (Approx. 320 km / 10–11 hrs)
* Early breakfast & long scenic return drive to Chandigarh.
* Check-in at hotel in Chandigarh.
* Rest and relax after the journey.

Day 9: Departure from Chandigarh
* Post breakfast, transfer to Chandigarh Airport / Railway Station.
* Journey concludes with unforgettable memories of the Himalayas.
