Tour Plan
Day 1 – Arrival in Leh | Acclimatization
Arrive in Leh and transfer to your hotel. Spend the day resting and acclimatizing to the high altitude.
In the evening, take an easy outing to:
* Shanti Stupa – panoramic views of Leh and the surrounding mountains
* Leh Mall Road – explore the old town, cafés and local markets
Overnight: Leh
Day 2 – Sham Valley Exploration
After breakfast, explore the spectacular Sham Valley, known for monasteries, rugged landscapes and the changing autumn colours of Ladakh.
Visit:
* Hall of Fame
* Magnetic Hill
* Gurudwara Pathar Sahib
* Indus–Zanskar Sangam
* Likir Monastery
* Alchi Monastery
Enjoy the contrast between the golden autumn foliage along the Indus Valley and the stark high-altitude mountains.
Overnight: Leh
Day 3 – Leh to Nubra Valley | Autumn in the Valley
Drive towards Nubra Valley via Khardung La, one of the most famous high mountain passes in Ladakh.
Descend into Nubra and experience the dramatic change in landscape, with golden poplar trees, colourful villages and vast mountain valleys.
Visit:
* Diskit Monastery
* Diskit village
* Hunder Sand Dunes
* Hunder’s famous double-humped Bactrian camels
Spend the evening surrounded by the beautiful golden colours of autumn in Nubra.
Overnight: Nubra Valley
Day 4 – Turtuk & Thang | Balti Culture & Golden Autumn
Today is dedicated to the far-western villages of Nubra.
Drive towards Turtuk, a beautiful Balti village with traditional stone houses, narrow lanes, apricot orchards and distinctive local culture.
Continue towards Thang, one of the northernmost inhabited villages of India, located close to the Line of Control.
Experience:
* Traditional Balti culture and architecture
* Autumn-coloured apricot and poplar trees
* Traditional village life
* Dramatic views towards the Karakoram
Return to Nubra Valley in the evening.
Overnight: Nubra Valley
Day 5 – Nubra to Pangong & Return to Leh
Start early and drive towards Pangong Lake through the spectacular Shyok Valley.
Enjoy the changing landscapes as the road follows the Shyok River towards Pangong. Spend a few hours beside the lake, taking in its famous blue waters surrounded by barren mountains.
Later, drive towards Leh via Chang La Pass.
On the way, visit Thiksey Monastery, one of Ladakh’s most impressive monasteries, especially beautiful in the warm evening light.
Continue to Leh.
Overnight: Leh
Day 6 – Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Leh Airport for your onward journey.
