You also cross somewhat three passes like Nichnai Pass which also acts as a camping site and is stunning in every way. Trekkers also pitch tents near the shores of the lakes too. It is a trek that takes you to high-altitude, hence it becomes very important that you acclimatise properly by spending a couple of days either in Srinagar or in Sonamarg. 2. River Rafting in Lidder River

Lidder River is a popular spot for river rafting in Kashmir Valley. It is one of the adventurous activities that is a must-to-do wherever you are there. Lidder is the best spot as the gradient of water is very gentle and is quite beginner friendly.

Located in the Pahalgam, the river has skilled instructors guiding you and giving instructions before and after the experience. The best season for river rafting in Lidder river is from June to September as the flow of the water is high.

Going to Ladakh on a bike by yourself is as thrilling as it can get. A bike trip to Ladakh is every biker’s bliss. The journey traditionally starts from Karol Bagh of Delhi and concludes in Leh city. It takes approximately 15 days with a couple of extra days as a buffer.

It is done so taking in mind the unpredictable weather conditions and temporary closures of routes in Ladakh. The best time for the bike trip is in the summer season lasting from June to September as almost no snow is seen on the roads. They are clear and accessible. Kashmir has ideal terrains for adventures like mountain biking.you bike through vistas, dense forests of pine and deodar trees. In the ride, you will also witness streams and rivers dotting the landscapes. Here, you can enjoy some peaceful time by the shores of these waterbodies. Some of the famous routes are Gulmarg to Pahalgam, Pahalgam to Srinagar, Srinagar to Sonmarg etc. Carry some necessary equipment including mountain cycle, biking shoes, helmet, sunglasses, water bottle etc. 

The convenient time for biking is in the summer season, from May to October, as the routes are totally accessible and scenic views welcome you at every point. 

7. Golfing in Gulmarg Golf Course 

Golfing at Gulmarg Golf Course can be enjoyed by beginners as well as by experienced individuals. It is an 18-hole course and the setting here is very serene. Some 18 kinds of flowers bloom here to the core, especially in the spring season. The meadow where the golf course is set is considered among the most stunning golf courses in the world. 

You can visit here from 9 am to 10 pm throughout the week. The price varies for Indians and Foreigners. For the former, it is INR 800/ and the latter have to pay INR 1200/. It is located at a distance of 3 kilometres from Gulmarg town. You can even walk up to the course. 

8. Hot Air Ballooning in Srinagar 

Apart from Shikara ride in the Dal Lake, exploring the Mughal Gardens, one more adventurous thing to enjoy in the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir is Hot Air Ballooning in Srinagar. It is a popular activity to do in the city in recent years. 

One famous spot for the ride is Zabarwan Park, located on the bank of Dal Lake. The distance from Airport is approximately 25 kilometres and cabs and taxis. 

The view from thousands of feets is just surreal. You can experience the feeling in the best way at sunset and sunrise.  The whole sky is covered in different shades of hues, and it will be an unforgettable experience for you.
