How To Spend Three Days In Gulmarg

As you land at the Srinagar Airport, drive to the main city. You can easily get a cab or taxi outside the airport. In the Srinagar city, you can either rent a car or book a taxi service in Srinagar for the intercity ride. 50 kilometers separate Srinagar and Gulmarg and it is an easy 2 hour ride. Although, since we recommend some enroute sightseeing, it may take more. Starting with the Drung Waterfall, which is one of the most magical sights to be seen in the valley. Due to below freezing level temperature prevailing in winters, the waterfall freezes completely, resulting in ice formations. As you are still 16 kilometers short from reaching the main town of Gulmarg, the waterfall comes into sight. Spend some time enjoying the visuals and taking pictures. Next on the list is the town of Tangmarg. Gulmarg is about 13 kilometers away from here. Here at Tangmarg, visitors often stop for lunches and snacks while simultaneously exploring its vibrant markets. ATV rides are quite famous here. As you reach your hotel in Gulmarg, enjoy a hot steaming Kashmiri dinner and call it a day. You have a long day ahead.

In the morning,you will wake up to a gorgeous view of snow-clad mountains, visible from your hotel rooms. Have a delicious and hearty breakfast. If you already haven’t, rent your gears for skiing in Gulmarg ,snowboarding or sledging; whichever activity you are looking for to enjoy. As you are all ready with your gears, a bottle of water, snacks and are wearing comfortable woolen clothes, get ready to hit the slopes. If you are staying near the slopes, you can simply hike or book a taxi or cab to reach there. When in Gulmarg, don’t miss the Gondola rides. The first phase will take you to Kongdoori, while the second one is operational to Apharwat Peak.  yet exciting day. Call it a night. Being in these places is the highpoint of people who love skiing as this is the highest ski resort in Asia and has broad intermediate and advanced slopes for cross country skiing and heli skiing. As a starter, you will be able to engage in snow activities such as snowboarding, skiing and sledging at places such as Gulmarg Golf Course, Khilanmarg, and the like. The entire day can be spent on the slopes where one can screech with excitement while crafting snow castles and making snowmen. Skiing cost in Gulmarg ranges from 1000 to 3000 per person per day. Make sure you come back to the hotel before dark to finish the day with a good and relaxing meal and end a stressful day.

Spend your last day in Gulmarg exploring different local attractions. Visit Both Pathri as it is one of the most breathtaking meadows right here in the town. In winter, it is completely covered in white powdery snow. With verdant forests, frozen water streams and frosty peaks, Bota pathri is a remotely located attraction of Gulmarg. Visit the place for border tourism as the India and Pakistan Border is in proximity ,i.e., a few kilometers away. After Bothpathri, visit the Baba Reshi Shrine, a religiously significant Dargah in Gulmarg. The shrine is built in the devotion of esteemed Sufi saint, Sheikh Noor-ud-din Noorani, famous as Baba Reshi. You can experience the spiritual aspect of your Gulmarg trip.
