How To Reach Gulmarg From Katra

By air: Covering the long distance between Katra to Gulmarg is done in the easiest way via flights. Book your tickets from Jammu International Airport to Srinagar airport.

It would take just 1 hour. Land at the Srinagar Airport or Sheikh Ul-Alam International Airport and book a taxi to reach Gulmarg.  

By road: Reach Jammu from Katra via NH1 covering 40 kilometres in about an hour. Next, Start from the Jammu-Srinagar Highway (NH44) to reach Srinagar. It is a long drive from covering almost 250 kilometres taking 6 hours at least.

Once you are in the capital city of Srinagar, book Srinagar taxi service or rent a private car to reach Gulmarg. Buses also operate between Jammu and Gulmarg. The fares are quite reasonable and are an affordable option. 

By train: There is no direct train from Katra to Gulmarg. You can take a train from Katra railway station to Jammu Tawi railway station.

2. Patnitop: As you are about 170 kilometres short to reach Gulmarg, Patnitop is an offbeat location for enroute sightseeing. With giggling waterfalls and crystal-clear streams, visit the place for a picnic and stroll.
