December

The winter season in Kashmir starts from December onwards and lasts till March. The average temperature during this time is about 2°C to -5°C and drops down to -8°C at night. Snow can be found in higher reaches and December is best time to visit Kashmir.

In Gulmarg, you can enjoy a 13 kilometres ride from Tangmarg. Some other attractions in Kashmir also offer snowmobiling like Aru Valley, Betaab Valley, Chandanwari, Khilanmarg, Thajiwas Glacier, Doodhpathri, etc.

The ride is a bit costly. However, the total charge depends on the ride duration. It ranges from INR 1500-5000. When going snowmobiling, make sure to wear goggles as the flowing snow around can enter your eyes, causing irritation. Wear a helmet and other safety gears.
